How does Senstroke work ?
Simply connect Sensors Bluetooth sensors to our dedicated application and define a play area for each element of the virtual drum kit. For more information on the procedure to follow, go to our setup page.
Here is a video tutorial explaining how to connect Senstroke sensors in beginner mode :
What do I need to use Senstroke sensors ?
A pair of drumsticks size 7A or 5A.
A solid playing surface: training pads, cushions, books, tables, furniture, etc.
A smartphone or tablet using an operating system greater than or equal to IOS10 or Android 6.0
An Internet connection to download the Senstroke application and the Senstroke Updater sensor update application.
Can I use Senstroke sensors with my drumsticks ?
To prevent damaging the sensors, we recommend using 5A or 7A drumsticks.
Can I use Senstroke on all surfaces ?
The sensors can be used on almost any solid surface you can imagine. It is preferable to avoid surfaces that are too hard for the wrists and that may damage the sensors. We also advise against playing in a metal charged environment, as this may destabilize the sensors.
What applications are required ?
We use two applications to operate the sensors correctly. The Senstroke application will be used to configure your drum kit by assigning a zone to each drum cell, and the Senstroke updater application will allow you to keep your sensors up to date.
What is the configuration required to use Senstroke ?
In order to use the application optimally, we recommend a smartphone or tablet using an operating system greater than or equal to IOS10 or Android 6.0.
Can I use the sensors with other DAW ?
It is possible to use the sensors, once configured, with most DAW that accepts MIDI via Bluetooth.
If you are working with Windows 10, here is how to connect Sentroke to your computer.
More tutorials will be available soon.
Is my smartphone (or tablet) compatible?
All IOS device with IOS 10 or Higher are compatible.
For Android please have a look to our Android Supported devices page to know if you can use with good conditions Senstroke.
Can I use Senstroke sensors if my smartphone is not powerful enough ?
If you encounter latency issues when using the sensors, or if your smartphone shows high latency expected in our application, you can connect sensors directly to MacOS and Windows by reading our various Senstroke tutorials.
Can I use Senstroke if I am left-handed ?
For the moment, the beginner mode is by default configured for a right-handed drummer : snare drum in the center, hi-hat on the left and ride cymbal on the right, but the advanced mode allows you to configure your kit in a totally customized way.
It is therefore quite easy to configure a left-handed drumkit in advanced mode.
